Dr. Amabile has a special interest in the treatment of complex aortic disease and the use of mechanical assist devices for heart failure. He is also specialty trained in the TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) procedure. He is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and provides a wide array of cardiac specific surgical services including mechanical circulatory assist of failing hearts and the treatment of complex aortic disease.
Dr. Amabile is a multi-year recipient of Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Doctor” award. He holds the the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, and he participates in resident education at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems in Phoenix (General Surgery).
Dr. Amabile earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and New York Medical College in New York. He completed his general surgery residency at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix and his cardiothoracic surgical training at University of Arizona in Tucson.
