PVI is an affiliate of Phoenix Cardiac Surgery and is dedicated to the treatment of venous hypertension and the complications associated with this disease (ie. varicose veins, Telangiectasias, venulectasias, spider veins, venous stasis ulcers).

As cardiovascular surgeons, the medical staff of PVI is very familiar with veins of the lower extremities.  The typical coronary artery bypass operation requires the harvesting of the greater and lesser saphenous veins of the leg to be used as conduits for our bypass operation.  Through our extensive experience with veins of the leg we can help our patients with most of the ailments attributed to them.

Traditional methods used in the treatment of varicose veins (such as vein stripping) have virtually all been replaced with newer and less invasive techniques.  These techniques, such as vein ablation utilizing laser and radiofrequency energy have allow for the transformation of the surgery from an inpatient operation to an outpatient procedure.  

PVI utilizes the newest technique of endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) in combination with traditional injection sclerotherapy and micro-phlebectomy to help patients regain their active lifestyles prior to the effects this debilitating disease. 

The medical staff of PVI, unlike many of the non surgical providers that offer this treatment, have had decades of training and experience in surgical fundamentals and technique.  We are capable of taking care of any complications that may develop post treatment and are quite often the source of contact for other physicians that have these complications.
